Ja Morant excite Fans in Latest Workout Footage

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant might just have the most to prove out of any NBA star going into next season. Coming off back-to-back All-Star appearances in 2022 and 2023, Morant suited up for only nine contests last season.

Serving a 25-game suspension to start the season following multiple gun video incidents, Morant took the floor and played an electric nine games before going down with a season-ending shoulder injury.

Morant looked too determined to lead the Grizzlies to a fourth-straight postseason appearance; his return from suspension was one of the more incredible games of the entire NBA season. And with a game-winning layup, he declared himself back. That lasted nine games.

Morant has been rehabbing his shoulder injury that required season-ending surgery, and looks to be full-healthy as the 2024-25 season nears. In recent workout footage, Morant excited Grizzlies fans with movements that looked just like the player he was prior to this injury:

He added acrobatic layups, stepback jump shots, and pull-up threes to his arsenal, among others. He is one of the most dynamic players in the NBA, and Morant really looks ready to remind the league who he is next season.

He has been to the playoffs three times in five NBA seasons, missing his rookie season and this past season. With a desire to get back into the playoff fold in an incredibly tough Western Conference, Morant will have much on his plate this coming season.
