The striker has been in fantastic form for the Serie A side this season, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists from 25 games.
On November 27th, we covered claims from Italy, which stated Arsenal had sent a scout to watch the 25-year-old live in action against Young Boys in the Champions League. Now Aston Villa have joined the Gunners in the chase for Retegui.

That’s according to La Repubblica, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, and they cover Arsenal and the Villans’ interest in the frontman.
The north London club and Unai Emery’s side are ‘serious’ about the Argentina-born Italy international and the report adds the Premier League duo are ‘ready to offer’ €55m to secure his services.
Whether Arsenal and Aston Villa are prepared to bid for Retegui this window or next summer remains to be seen. The fact is that La Dea top the table, on equal points with second placed Napoli, so it’s difficult to see them allowing him to go in January.
Retegui pulled a hamstring against Empoli on December 22nd and has been out of action ever since.
