One enraged rugby fan beat up a supporter in the stands after he allegedly yelled during an important minute’s silence.
The minute’s silence took place on Anzac Day, which remembers Australian and New Zealand soldiers who died during World War One.
It took place at a National Rugby League game between Broncos and Bulldogs, and according to eyewitnesses, one fan decided to shout during the silence
An enraged Bulldogs supporter then proceeded to punch the Broncos fan square in the face, with his anger summed up by a tightly-clenched jaw, baring his teeth.
However, the violence didn’t stop there.
The Bulldogs fan unleashed a flurry of further fists at the Broncos fan. A separate Broncos fan came over to intervene, taking the side of the Bulldogs fan and pointing towards the exit whilst shouting at him.
The culprit was then pushed onto the seats below in a brutal sequence, before the footage cuts out. Queensland Police confirmed that they removed both men who feature in the video from Suncorp Stadium.
Fans were outraged by the man who decided to yell.
“I hope they found that moron at Suncorp and kicked him out. How hard is it to be respectful?” said one on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Someone find those yobbos yelling during the silence and boot them out for good. Disgraceful,’ added The NRL Roast.
Others weren’t so inclined to condone the violence on display.
“There’s no excuse for that type of behaviour,” said one.
