He is the all-time leader in points scored for Golden State.
Living legend Steph Curry has rewritten the Warriors’ record books during his storied career and is unsurprisingly the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.
The Warriors have such a rich history with several all-time great scorers calling the Bay Area home during their careers. From Wilt Chamberlain to Rick Barry, legends defined different eras for the Warriors before Steph Curry established himself as the Dubs’ greatest player and greatest scorer.
1.) Stephen Curry – 23,668 Points
Chef Curry is the best shooter of all time-continuing to put his stamp on the NBA record books entering his 16th professional season. The two-time NBA MVP and three-time NBA champion is currently the NBA record holder for made 3-point field goals (3,747), putting over an 800-made-threes differential between him and the No. 2 all-time shooter from distance in Ray Allen. He’s the Golden State franchise leader in points, assists, and steals. He also leads the franchise in field goals missed, by a landslide, which cements his status as the embodiment of the old saying, “Shooters Shoot.”
2.) Wilt Chamberlain – 17,783 Points
Wilt The Stilt was one of the most dominating forces in league history. He is over 2,800 boards ahead of second place on the career rebounds list and was, of course, an all-time great scorer in his own right. Chamberlain sits seventh all-time in points, and during his playing days, was for the most part unchallenged in that regard. The four-time MVP led the league in scoring seven different times and shot 54 percent from the floor in his career. In his third season with the then-Philadelphia Warriors, Chamberlain averaged a preposterous 50.4 points per contest and tallied the only 100-point game in league history.
3.) Rick Barry – 16,447 Points
Barry is one of the all-time greats not just in Warriors lore, but in league lore altogether. He spent eight seasons with the Warriors throughout his long playing career and was named First Team All-NBA on five occasions with the club. A prolific scorer, Barry averaged over 30 points per game twice while with the Warriors and had two similarly great seasons in the ABA. As far as single-game accomplishments, Barry had 14 games of 50 or more points which puts him in a tie with LeBron James for seventh all-time.
4.) Paul Arizin – 16,266 Points
Before Wilt Chamberlain and Rick Barry starring for the Warriors, Arizin was the face of the franchise. Arizin made the All-Star team in every season that he played and could have more but he took two years away to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps during the 1952 and 1953 campaigns. At the time of his retirement, Arizin was the league’s third-leading scorer all-time and had two NBA scoring titles to his name.
5.) Chris Mullin – 16,235 Points
Mullin was a crafty scorer during his 13-year career with the Warriors and ranks third all-time in games played for the franchise. Mully averaged 20.5 points in his initial 12-season run with the Warriors and later returned for his final NBA season at age 37 back in 2000. At his peak, he was an All-Star in five consecutive seasons between 1988 and 1992 and averaged just about 26.0 points per game. Other career highlights for Mullin include being a two-time Olympic gold medalist as part of the 1984 and 1992 teams, in addition to coaching his alma mater of St. John’s.
