Dwyane Wade was a 3-time NBA champion with the Heat during his NBA career.
The list of statues of legendary NBA players is getting longer and this time the hall of fame player to receive this honor is.
Earlier this year the Miami Heat unveiled its plans back in January that it will soon be placing a statue of Dwayne Wade and now the team has released that the much anticipated statue will be unveiled on the 27th of October in front of the Kaseya Center.
“When we retired his jersey in February 2020, I said Dwyane was the face of this franchise, for ever and I did not mean it literally,” Heat President Pat Riley said in a statement in January. “The decision to remove Dwyane’s name from Miami-Wade County is unprecedented and misguided; that’s why it makes sense to memorialize his great legacy for the Miami Heat. ”
Wade statue was sculpted by Omri Amrany and Oscar León of the Fine Art Studio Rotblatt Amrany. Some of the NBA players whose statues have been done by Amrany include the “Michael Jordan Spirit” at Chicago and other players such as Shaquille O’Neal; Dirk Nowitzki and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar among others.
Wade join the Heat team in 2003 and selected in the All-Rookie team. He was honored 13 times as an All-Star and was the winner of the Finals’ MVP and was the first one to bring the Heat an NBA title in 2006. In joining with LeBron James and Chris Bosh in 2010 he has played a pivotal role in delivering two successive championships for the Miami Heat in the years 2012 and 2013.

Wade took 15 seasons playing for the Heat and in this period he scores an average of 22. 7 points, 5. 6 assists and 4. Number 23 averages about 5, 7 rebounds and was the N. B. A seasonal scoring champion in 2009.
He also was NBA 75 anniversary team’s member and inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2023.
